Stand Up and Remain Standing

One of my favorite bits to watch the reaction to:  I ask my audiences, "Please stand up if you think you're at least one of these three things — underpaid, overstimulated, or underappreciated." Everybody stands up. Then I say, "Now please remain standing if you're overpaid, understimulated, or overappreciated," and everyone sits down. In unison. It's a little manipulative, but the audience always seems to get a kick out of it. And it reminds us of what we all have in common.
